Curriculum

Toddlers embody the essence of curiosity, demonstrating an innate desire to explore every facet of their surroundings. This stage, which Dr. Montessori refers to as the "absorbent stage," is characterized by rapid cognitive and motor skills development. Their daily activities—climbing, running, and manipulating objects—enhance both their fine and gross motor skills, furthering their cognitive growth. Toddlers are particularly drawn to language, quickly acquiring new words and beginning to form sentences to express their needs, showcasing their remarkable listening and learning abilities.

The emotional and social development of toddlers is equally profound. They exhibit intense emotions and begin to understand empathy, forming deep bonds with loved ones and showing keen interest in their peers. However, their strong will may lead to frustration if their exploratory efforts are hindered, highlighting their fervent eagerness to learn and interact with the world.

Our curriculum, influenced by insights from "The Whole Brain Child" by Daniel J. Siegel and Tina Payne Bryson, is designed to engage both hemispheres of the brain, ensuring balanced brain development. We focus on nurturing toddlers' physical, social, and emotional growth, integrating speech and language development with physical activities that allow them to explore concepts of self, family, and environment.

At Sprouts Nursery PlaySchool, we center our curriculum on Practical Life, Sensorial, Language, Math, and Cultural Studies to ensure a well-rounded educational experience for every child.

During the preschool years, children undergo significant developmental progress, as noted by Dr. Maria Montessori. They exhibit a burgeoning independence and a zest for learning, absorbing details from their environment and refining their abilities to interact socially. This period marks crucial advancements in social skills, emotional understanding, and the ability to engage in group activities, both structured and spontaneous.

Montessori education at this stage is centered on meaningful play, which seamlessly integrates learning into both structured and unstructured activities, ensuring that children experience consistent educational growth daily. The environment is crafted to be stimulating and age-appropriate, fostering continuous engagement and learning.

At Sprouts Nursery PlaySchool, we prioritize creating a secure and supportive atmosphere where children can develop independence and self-confidence, alongside robust emotional and physical health. Our compassionate educators are dedicated to supporting each child's journey, helping them to thrive and develop essential life skills during these formative years.

At Sprouts Nursery PlaySchool, we center our curriculum on Practical Life, Sensorial, Language, Math, and Cultural Studies to ensure a well-rounded educational experience for every child.
